JIPP has served over 500 students in the last 4 years and is the recipient of the AT&T “Aspire” Grant, the only LAUSD School or program to be awarded this prestigious grant.
Since JIPP’s inception, the program has been presented at the 39th Annual Juvenile Court, Community and Alternative School Administrators of California, the 20th Annual National Dropout Prevention Network Conference and been invited to the 21st Annual At-Risk National Forum, School and Community: Working Together as a Comprehensive Approach to Dropout Prevention.
JIPP has been recognized by the Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education, received a resolution from the full Los Angeles City Council and has received an award from the California Peace Officers Association. Most recently JIPP was named as a sub-contractor in the Los Angeles Mayor’s Gang Reduction and Youth Development Program as had an article published in the national Association of Social Workers professional journal, Children and Schools.
